Boneafied Pet Sitter LLC Service Agreement

The terms Client/ Pet Owner are synonymous with the person contracting services for one or more domestic animals. Boneafied Pet Sitter LLC provides services to the pet owner/Client below which includes but is not limited to: dog walking, pet sitting visits, in-home, overnight pet care, house checks and general care.

The terms of these policies apply to all pets owned by the Client, including all new pets that the Client obtains on or after the date that the service agreement was accepted and agreed to terms by client, at all locations the client designates for service.

Client agrees to engage Boneafied Pet Sitter LLC to provide pet care and agrees to the terms and policies below:

Key Release Policy
One working copy of your house keys must be provided at time of registration / consultation. If you preside in a gated community, you must provide a gate card, remote or appropriate access codes. Should keys become unusable, lock malfunction, Client fails to leave a key or for any reason beyond pet sitter’s control, BPS have authorization to employ the services of a locksmith to enter Client’s home on Client’s behalf. Client will be responsible for all expenses, including time incurred and reimburse Boneafied Pet Sitter upon return. If you prefer us to drive to you and pick up your key, and drop off upon your return, there will be a $12 charge each way.

Pricing of Services of services offered
All pricing of services offered by BPS are listed on boneafiedpetsitter.com and have been calculated according to national and local averages. Client is expected to submit payments for posted rate and follow all cancellation and services provided by BPS. All credit cards have a 5% processing fee which applies to all invoice totals. Holiday fees may apply. If you have visiting pets, an extra $10 per pet will apply.

Payment Policy
BPS accepts payment through our secure merchant (Ascend) at the time of booking your service. A price quote will be generated prior to acceptance, followed by an invoice to complete online payment. No cash or check payments will be accepted. One exception: recurring charges for weekly dog-walking services. PayPal is another accepted form of payment.

 

Cancellation Policy
You will be charged for all visits and overnights without proper notice of cancellation. Any services cancelled the day of service will not receive credit or refund. Less than 24 hours’ notice for cancellation results in full visit charge.
 

VACATION PET SITTING VISITS

2 weeks or more notice to apply payment from cancelled visit(s) to future visit(s). Less than 2 weeks’ notice for cancellation will result in full visit charge.

Early Return to Home or Late Departure from Home
If any or part of scheduled reservation is cancelled, such as ending the reservation early, you are responsible for the entire reservation fee. No refunds or credits will be issued.

Boneafied Pet Sitter Office Hours
Regular office hours are Monday thru Friday from 9am- 5pm. Reservations can be scheduled online. Along with leaving a voicemail during the week, a chat option is available via the website to answer any other questions you may have. Pet care hours are 8 am to 8 pm Monday thru Sunday.

Friends and Family Access
We understand that your family and friends want to check in with your pet while you are away, or that the relative or friend may be staying at the home while we check-in on your pet. Please alert BPS of ANY PERSONS who have access to your home with your permission for our safety purposes. BPS reserves the right to vacate the property should they not feel uncomfortable after said person arrives at your home during pet sitting visit. BPS will not be held responsible for any mistakes, misfortunes, or damages incurred to or in home or pet by others also having access to your home.

Holidays

New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day and weekend, Independence Day, Labor Day and weekend, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Leash Policy
Dogs will ALWAYS remain leashed in open areas (neighborhoods, public areas, unsecured yards, etc.) per Kern County Leash Law (7.08.150): “All dogs are required to be restrained to protect persons, other animals and property from damage”.

 

Client In Home Care Needs

Boneafied Pet Sitter LLC:

• Indoor plants while Client is on vacation. Plants need to be placed together on a waterproof surface in plain sight. Otherwise, BPS will not be responsible for water- damaged areas or uncared for plants.

• This includes, but is not limited to: electrical problems, leaks, and acts of nature. All repairs to home, related fees, will be paid by Client or fully reimbursed to Boneafied Pet Sitter, LLC within (7) days of Client’s return date.

• Will not be held responsible for any damage to the property or home of the Client, unless such damage is caused by the negligent act of Boneafied Pet Sitter, LLC.

• Will be held liable for any loss or damage in the event of a burglary or other crime that should occur while under contract. Client agrees to secure home before leaving the premises. BPS will attempt to re-secure home according to Client instructions at the end of each visit.

• Client is responsible for pet-proofing house, yard, and security fences/gates/latches. Boneafied Pet Sitter, LLC will not be liable for the death injury, disappearance or legal consequences of any pet(s) with unsupervised access to the outdoors (in addition to pools, if applicable) in regard to unleashed care of Client’s dog(s).

Pet Illness/Veterinary Care or Restocking Supplies

Client is responsible for updating Vet information with BPS. Client must also provide their vet with a release for BPS if a health emergency should arise in their absence.  Client is aware and agrees to the medical costs or any fees if they should arise from animal(s) illness or need of veterinary care. (See Vet Authorization Form) Client agrees to pay Boneafied Pet Sitter the sum of $35 per hour, should Sitter need to take pet(s) to the vet. If the Sitter needs to restock supplies, the client is responsible to provide at the time of the sit (such as pet food or medication), Client agrees to pay Boneafied Pet Sitter a restocking fee as an add-on service. If your pet is sickly while in our care, a discussion and a medical emergency plan must be made, should a pet succumb to his/her illness their pet-parent is away.

Emergency Care Policy
In the event of pet illness or other medical emergency and specified Vet is not available, the pet will be taken to the closest vet or Emergency Care Hospital. Client understands and agrees that an attempt will be made to contact them in case of an emergency. If Client is unreachable, Pet Sitter has permission to authorize any care that the vet deems necessary for pet’s health, safety, and survival. Client agrees to reimburse BPS for any additional fees and costs related to vet care during their absence, which may include x-rays, blood work, surgery, and/or other expensive procedures, as well as emergency medical transport/ taxi fee. For the safety of your pet and others disease or ailment received from Client’s pet that has not been vaccinated, it will be the Client’s responsibility to pay all costs and damages incurred to Pet Sitter.

Extra Fees/Charges Policy
BPS blocks time specifically for your visit according to your request and bills only for the time requested. Boneafied Pet Sitter reserves the right to invoice/bill at $10 per half hour or any portion thereof, for any overstated visit time that is necessary for the care of the Client’s pet(s) and home. This includes service and time for the following, but not limited to: waiting for the Client to return home; all veterinary trips; excessive clean-up resulting from pet incontinence; accidents or frequent vomiting; complications administering medications; obtaining pet food, medications, or other necessary supplies; wait time for home repair; search for pet that escaped confinement. Client will be held responsible for all expenses incurred and reimburse Boneafied Pet Sitter upon return.

Outdoor Pet Policy
All pets housed outdoors, or with outdoor access must have adequate shelter with access to shade and water. BPS will not leave pets outdoors unattended without a dog door. A hot weather plan must be in place for temperatures exceed 95 degrees. Dogs and cats must have updated tags. In the event a pet escapes confinement, Client understands and agrees that attempts will be made to contact them. If the Client is unreachable, Pet Sitter has the permission to extend the visit to search for pet as necessary. Pet Sitter has the right to limit a dog walk length should the temperature exceed 93 degrees, or during heavy rain or thunderstorms. Remainder of the visit will conclude indoors. When temperature exceeds 85 degrees, we may also limit time outside or divide the walk into 2 shorter walks. The comfort and safety of the dog in extreme heat, protection from pavements, along with heat stroke avoidance will be the main goal under these conditions. Plenty of water and cool down time will be provided after all walks.

Barking/Noise Disturbance to Neighborhood
BPS has the right to add on services/time allotted or make alternative arrangements for a pet kennel, if a pet is causing noise (whining, howling, or barking i.e.,) that disrupts the peace of complex or neighbors. Client will be notified of the issue and together we can find an alternative solution in the best interest of pet(s), Client, neighbors and managing offices of complex. If Client is unreachable, it is agreed than BPS will take initiative to add additional hours to the visit, or taxi pet to a local boarding facility. Client is responsible for all adjustments to final invoice.

Terms and Conditions
Boneafied Pet Sitter promises to provide the highest level of service to all pets under care of the pet sitter. Client is aware that pets are instinctual by nature and not always controllable by the sitter, even when the highest level of care is provided. Client releases Boneafied Pet Sitter, LLC from all liability for any unpredictable incidents (injury, escape, instigated fights, or predatory behavior with other animals (domesticated or feral), home, property damage, personal injury, or accidental death, etc.,) while in BPS care. In addition, the Client is liable for injury or damage to Third Parties. BPS agrees to provide the services stated in the agreement in a reliable, caring, and trustworthy manner. In consideration of these services, the Client expressly waives and relinquishes all claims against Boneafied Pet Sitter, LLC except those arising from negligence or willful misconduct on the part of BPS. Client authorizes BPS to take photos of Client’s pet for documentation, social media and updates on visits sent directly to the Client. All photos taken by BPS are owned property of BPS.

Privacy Policy
When ordering or registering on our site, you may be asked to enter your personal information.  BPS maintains appropriate data collection, storage, processing practices, and security measures to protect User information against unauthorized access, alteration, destruction, or disclosure. Confidentiality is of utmost importance to us. BPS does not sell, trade, or rent user personal identification information with others. Non-personal identification may be shared with business partners, trusted affiliates, and advertisers for the purposes of personalizing your experience, improving the Website, improving customer service, or sending periodic emails i.e.,. You may request at any time a copy of your personal data and request correction or deletion.
